Remotion Plugins from

http://www.remotion.de.vu

DiTools - A suite of deformers and generators currently version 0.8 soon to be 0.9. Includes:

Dicloner - Clone an object on the verteces of another object taking into account the objects texture for many parameters.

DiShaper - Realtime displacement, allows you to take multiple textures and displace an object in any direction with them, shows the displacement in the viewport.

DiSplineGen -Generates splines from the verteces of another object. Great procedural modelling tool (and also neat for fields of corn or hair).

DiParametric - Parametric shape generator

Also contains a couple of cool shaders that work with the ditools plugins.

TDEM - Particle plugins which allow some serious control of the standard non thinking particles particle system in Cinema. These tags and objects allow you to emit from teh surface on an object, to constrain an objects surface to the particles, to give the particles goals, to generate splines that react to particle generators (gravity etc) like hair would.

ASE Exporter - Apparently for those Unreal Tournament files or something, maybe someone else can explain this one better than me

And I have made a few plugins myself

http://www.peranders.com/c4d8

Go to the library area of Renderzone.

Camera Gaffer - A tag that when applied to a camera modifies the rotation behaviour in a number of different ways for better modelling control.

Julienne - Slices a selection or object a set number of times in any direction evenly.

Flush Select - Allows you to expand your current selection out to the edges of that "plane" on your object. Can also with a little ingenuity be used to select polygon belts.

Per-Anders

oh and i just addded one

MaxUV Tools - Copy/Paste UV polys points, Rotate UV's, Flip UV's, Smooth bad UV joins, Maximise UV's in UV space. A suite of UV Texture manipulation plugins for all sorts.

MSA and HELIX by Mikael Sterner (NOT for free)

Use MSA all the time!

http://www.xlentplugs.com/

MSA (Multiple Spline Attach) allows for things like aniimateable chain links, and beads on a string. Can be used in conjunction with Helix for things like DNA with all the nucleotides/basepairs aligned and twisted properly. All kinds of animateable parameters.

Helix allows you to wrap a helix around a spline and the spline can control the movement of the helix as well. Much better than the spline primitve spiral that comes with C4d.

I have put a sample C.O.F.F.E.E plugin and some reusable XML Classes on my site:

http://www.tinrocket.com/content/code/000037.html

Description of plugin and classes:

CustomXMLExport is a sample filter plugin that allows you to export CINEMA 4D scenes as XML. This sample plugin shows how to use the XML classes in the file, "tinrocketXML.coh", which formats your content and structure into a valid XML file.

The XML classes were written to facilitate C4D scene, object & data export for game & software development purposes. This sample plugin could be adapted to your software project's production pipeline very easily.

This plugin is independent of the native C4D XML format, which is not documented and had recently disapeared for one release (8.0). It is therefore available for your use when the built-in options for exporting your scenes in a human-readable format is not supported by C4D.

Free, requires CINEMA 4D v7.3 or v8.x and higher.

Thanks,
John Balestrieri

Hi, there is a Plugin from me.

TargetZero:

This Plugin sets the position and rotation data of an object to zero. If the object is in a hierarchy, then the object takes over the data of its over object. It is a very simple Plugin, if one builds however the Icon into its layout, can it the Workflow increase.

Have fun.

There is some great stuff being developed - thanks to all involved!
I just found this yesterday...
Check out 'MoveShearRotate' at:

http://www.welter-4d.de/plugins.html

I've no connection with the author - I'm just a user happy to find this plug, which goes some way to filling a long standing gap in C4D - the ability to rotate points around a user defined centre*.

The author has already had requests to extend the functionality to include 'scale', and to enable an edge to act as a selected axis of rotation.

This guy deserves some support. His other plugs are also excellent.

Mike Abbott

* Even the author himself thinks this 'positionable centre of rotation' functionality ought to be part of the normal toolset. He's absolutelty right IMO.

yes the cellular shader is truly awesome, I love it a lot, and point collapse replaces the need for weld tools, quicker faster and more control in a single rather than two additional as well as the original weld.

powerAxis1.0 (http://www.astrofish.com/powerAxis/powerAxis.html) now available.

This plugin provides full control over the modelling axes in Cinema4D R8, providing a significant increase in the modeller functionality.

This allows you to rotate and scale arbitrary vertex/edge/poly selections around arbitrary locations, rather than the fixed location (centre of bounding box of current selection) that C4D normally gives you.

E.g. Rotate a polygon selection around one of its own edges, or if you want something more complex, how about scaling an edge selection about a vertex, whilst been constrained to being parallel to an edge from a different object...

It also provides tools for positioning entire objects such that a specific feature is placed where you want it - e.g. placing one object on another so that they have co-planar faces, etc.

Cost is $30, and a demo is available.

Works for Macs and PC, available for Cinema4D R8 only.

QikiLoft
Instantly lofts a spline across a straight line.

Why might this be useful?
If you like me, I tend to create a spline, create some duplicates in a line, then manually add each spline to a loft object one by one in the correct order. Then I like to shape the splines to get my desired shape.
QikiLoft speeds this process up

(Reposted from main forum)

Hi polygon fans,

I've written a free plugin 'geomCheck' whose purpose in life is to find bad geometry in your meshes.
This should help track down the causes of some of those rendering artefacts and subdivision oddities that tend to creep in and can be hard to track down.

It should work on Mac and PC, for C4D 6.3 and above.

Select a polygon object, use the plugin and it will list the details of any bad geometry that it finds in the console window.
At the same time, it selects all of the polygons that have problems, and also selects all vertices that are associated with open edges/mesh cracks so you can see where the problems are.

(Note: It would be better if it selected edges, but it's written in Coffee, and coffee can't make edge selections, so you have to manually convert from vertex to edge, or just look at the verts).

The download includes PDF documentation which describes the six different types of problem that it can find, and how to fix them. An example file which demonstrates each of these problems is also provided.

[SHAMELESS PLUG]
The plugin is free, but if you find it useful may I suggest that you might like to buy spinPoly, which can help you easily fix most of the problems that geomCheck finds. And it won't upset your UVW maps either. And it's cheap...
[/SHAMELESS PLUG]

Anyway, go get geomCheck from my website (http://www.astrofish.com)

Cheers - Steve

Support for this plugin has been so overwhelming that I have added the first step in supporting DAZ|Studio import by way of the "OBJ for Bryce 5" export option. More support to come thanks to the great people over at Daz3d!

In addition to this, the code base has been unified for Windows and MacOS to facilitate easier updating/maintenance and the parse algorithms have been updated to increase parsing speed.

Finally, development of interPoser Pro is in progress. Although it may be some months before a beta release is announced, it is with great pleasure that I make this announcement. Every effort will be made to create a stable, full-featured, and mind-blowing plugin. http://www.planit3d.com/source/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Not bad, but without tighter integration with the material editor and more control over nodes, its purpose is a little more limited.

My three biggest peeves were...
1) Having to leave tree view to edit parameters was a letdown.
2) Being unable to manually create or drag branches in tree view was equally disappointing.
3) Not knowing until I checked my console window that 9.100+ was required did a mind trip on me. :) (I forgot to update my C4D when I reinstalled it yesterday. Oops.. :p)

Still, this is a nice step toward a functional shader tree system.

EDIT>> Tree View just crashed while I was navigating the tree (with pictures enabled). Oh well. (R9.1, P4-3.06GHz, WinXP SP2, OGL Rendering, NVIDIA GF4)

Spline Patch generates surfaces from four border splines. The plugin is designed as an object generator, i.e. all parameters including the spline geometry can be changed at any time. This makes the plugin a valuable extension of the Cinema 4D-Nurbs objects.

I just thought I post two little helpers I created:

Disable MaterialsMaterials are disabled by restricting them to a selection that starts with "off#". Existing restrictions are left intact but prependend with "off#" also. Enabling the Materials again restores the original restrictions.

This one is useful if you want to do "Clay" renderings of already textured scenes.

Requires release 9.1 as it uses the enhanced COFFEE syntax with # operator introduced in 9.1
Create Null HierarchyDuplicates a selected hierarchy by creating a new hierarchy using nulls. The original object's name (plus appended .null), position and orientation is duplicated.

This is handy if you want to created targets for the use with Pose Mixer. Instead of duplicating the original objects you now can have a lightweight null hierarachy for the poses.

Tested with release 8.5 but should work with earlier versions as well.

You can download both plugins here:
http://www.codesign.at/en/downloads.html

Both plugins are COFFEE plugins and are distributed in source under a BSD style license.

SplitSelection was prompted by a request to split selection tag selections when working with Symmetry objects.

When you make the Symmetry object editable, your original selection tags get both sides of the symmetry in selections. This plugin lets you select a set of tags and then splits the selections according to the Mirror Plane and the side thereof on which the originals resided. The result is two selection tags, the original containing the original selection set and a new tag which contains the mirrored set. And to make the process complete, prefixes can be attached automatically to the tag names (such as 'Left_' or 'Right_') .

Works with Point, Polygon, Edge selection tags and VertexMap tags. Just setup, select tags, and 'Split'.

Edge selection tags resolved - boy, was that painful! ;)

Download SplitSelection (http://www.kuroyumes-developmentzone.com/c4d_plugins.html).

New free plugin for R8+ (PC only) to add or update a 'Normal Tag' to your polygonal mesh objects.

From the included readme file:

With the release of version 8.0 (?? maybe it was 8.2 or 8.5) Cinema 4D now has a 'Normal' Tag that can be associated with polygonal mesh objects. Normals (or 'vertex normals') are basically a unit vector that is perpendicular to the face of a polygon (for face normals), or the average of all the face normals that surround a vertex (for vertex normals). Face Normals can be used to determine whether a polygon is facing the camera, or away from it, so it's used in Backface Culling, as well as simple (flat) shading models. Vertex Normals are used in lighting calculations to generate smooth-shading.

Most applications (including Cinema 4D) these days don't require that the mesh have explicit Normal data attached to it, instead, they generate that information internally at runtime. However, there are some cases where you might want the output file to have the Normal information written in it (my Riptide .obj import/export plugin can read/write Normal information - IF the tag exists before exporting, or IF the normals exist in the file before importing).

So, generally speaking, if you don't know why you'd need a Normal Tag, you probably don't - C4D doesn't need a Normal Tag on a mesh in order to render it correctly... and in fact, many tools and plugins might not update the tag correctly, causing strange shading errors, once you start slicing the mesh up (adding/removing vertices). If/When this happens, you can either:

a) delete the Normal Tag
b) use this plugin to update the Normal Tag :)

...so what this plugin does is create a Normal Tag (normal vector information for each vertex of each polygon) on a polygonal mesh. If the mesh already has a Normal Tag, it deletes that and attaches the new/updated one.

p.s. I wrote this plugin because I didn't see any way within C4D to create a Normal Tag, so if it's there, or someone else already wrote this plugin... oops :).

You can find the plugin at Spanki's Prop Shop (http://www.skinprops.com/) on the C4D page.

Have fun!

Hello,

there is new UVDeformer version. Now for R9. PC only, however. Sorry.

The new version should be easier to use.
At least you don't necessarily need a UV-mapped object anymore. Instead you can use pairs of identical objects. Identical except for point positions, of course. One of the objects should be somewhat planar, as a uv-map replacement.
There are quite a lot of changes. It should generally be faster and more reliable. There are more options for controlling the uv-map positioning, the displacement direction. You can change most of the options on a per-child basis by using a special UVDeformer Tag.
Oh.. and i tried to make a nice manual and videos, which i hope, help to get started.

Hey there,
With this plugin you can use the same Shader (even complex ones with layers) in multiple channels, shaders and even Materials.
So if you like to have the same shader in the color and the displacement channel, you just set a Reference Shader in the Displacement channel, and that's it. every changes to the color-shader now also affect the shader in the displacement.

For insertion you can browse through a tree of your materials and shaders like this:

http://www.cnx-solutions.de/blackstar/refshader/images/tut_ani2.gif

for more infos please visit our site at
www.blackstar-solutions.de (http://www.blackstar-solutions.de)

and look at the manual there.
There are also some video tutorials on the page.

greetings to you all,

affa

CopyPastePolys is a new plugin for copy/pasting polygons.

It can be a nice alternative to the connect command. You can copy from multiple objects, and paste into a single destination.

I have decided to reduce the price of my Cinema4D / BodyPaint 3D Undertow Plugin (http://skinprops.com/undertow.php) by 50% to make it easier for those people using the demo version enjoy the additional capabilities of the full version.

The price has been reduced from $24.95 to just $12.50 USD (via PayPal).

[The Undertow plugin is a suite of tools for use primarily inside BodyPaint 3D's UV Edit mode, but there are also a few for use in the Cinema4D modeller. There is an Online Manual (http://skinprops.com/undertow/index.htm) available that describes each tool. If you haven't tried it yet, there is also a demo version of the plugin available in the downloads (http://skinprops.com/download.php]downloads[/link) section (some functionality is limited in the demo version).]

A couple of new plugins here.

EdgeShade (http://www.biomekk.com/index.php?page=1&cat=107&itm=18) which primarily puts a bevel on hard edges of your object.

and

Enhance:C4D (http://www.biomekk.com/index.php?page=1&cat=107&itm=1) which is a set of 178 procedural shaders.

I've also got some cool freebies floating around, so have a look around my site here (http://www.biomekk.com).

It's me again :)....

I have just posted a Free v1.20 update to my Undertow plugin. This update includes:

- 3 new tools added:

Set Axis - Sets the mesh object's origin to the center of the selected polys/points - see the docs (http://skinprops.com/undertow/index.htm) for details.
UV ShiftU - Shifts uv polygons to the left or right edge of the uv-mapping space - see the docs (http://skinprops.com/undertow/index.htm) for details.
UV ShiftV - Shifts uv polygons to the bottom or top edge of the uv-mapping space - see the docs (http://skinprops.com/undertow/index.htm) for details.

- some additional functionality added to the UV CenterU and UV CenterV commands.

- see notes for changes with UV TileU and UV TileV commands.

- fixed a bug with the new UV Map Box command when fewer than all polygons of the mesh were selected. This fix also affected the other mapping commands (selected polygons will now be mapped as if all polygons were selected).

- **Pricing for the licensed version will increase on or immediately after Dec. 10th 2007** [the new pricing will only apply to new registrations after the 10th - this and future minor revisions are still a free upgrade for current owners]

As usual, there is a DEMO version available in the download area of my site (http://skinprops.com/) (some features are disabled in the DEMO version).

Hi,

I created my very first C4D plugin, thanks to 'The COFFEE Book' :) I thought it would be a good idea sharing it with the c4d community.

http://www.patrickeischen.com/plugins/fastCheck/images/banner.jpg

LINK TO THE DOWNLOAD (http://www.patrickeischen.com/fastCheck.php)

The purpose of this (very small) plugin is to speed up the creating and applying of a checkerboard texture in Cinema 4D. When adjusting the UV coordinates, I often create a checkerboard material and apply it to the model which makes working with the UVs easier. To do this you have to create a new material and you have to create a new Checkerboard surface in the color channel. This material has to be applied to the object and finally you have to adjust the scale of the checkerboard. Plenty of unnecessary mouse clicks.

With this plugin creating and applying the checkerboard texture will be realised with 1 single mouse click. Adjusting the size of the checkerboard is done with a slider. You also have the possibility to chose between 3 different checkerboard textures.

This screenshot should make it clear what this plugin realizes

http://www.patrickeischen.com/plugins/fastCheck/images/image_03.jpg

I know this sounds very unspectecular and you're right, it is. But anyway, you might find it usefull so I made it available on my site.

Howdy,

I've recently released a new plugin called CD Transfer Tools. This plugin is a workflow plugin which makes transferring objects around in the scene a bit easier. The transfer commands included are: CD Transfer, CD Transfer Mirror, CD Transfer Replace, CD Transfer Swap, CD Transfer Align and CD Transfer Links. There is also a CD Coordinates Manager which allows you to work in real world units. This makes it possible to set the unit scale and to convert between units:
http://www.cactus3d.com/CDCoords.mov

I've recorded a complete video manual/tutorial which you can download here:
http://www.c4dportal.com/cactusdan/CDTransferTools.zip

It's a long one at 35 minutes (49 mb), but it should give you a complete description of the plugin's features. ;)

The plugin is now available from my web site:
http://www.cactus3d.com/Plugins.html

I hope you find the new plugin useful. :)

Adios,

It's an absolute awesame thing to look at, but a awful way to get thru...

the first called vpxLiner and creates images like this:
