Hey guys,
I'm a Maya newbie and I could not figure out how to do this FX:
Let's say I have a plane that simulates the ground...and a sphere in the center (that simulates an effect..let's say fire or something like that). The sphere (effect) gets bigger, and as it grows the ground around starts to "burn" (it changes the texture, color, etc.).
It should not be just a change of texture...I need something more complex...I need to use two different materials..one for the "normal" ground, and one for the burned one...
How would you guru fx go with this one?
I post 2 pictures, hope it explain better what I need:
tnx,
AXE
