This is an older image that I decided still wasn't quite the way I wanted it. All done in Painter, and I used some photo texture of pictures I took when I was in Ireland to help out the forest floor (being an older piece that I just wanted to polish up a bit I didn't feel like painting a billion leaves).

I like your work very much, but being a photographer, i would correct the colors. I mean that the ambient light seems the one of the morning or sunset: anyway, in that light a blue fairy would never appear so much blue.
I think this image needs a little work on the colours, to match the colours of the landscape and the fairy itself, otherwise they'll seem two separate things, not blended in the same place.
This is my personal opinion, but your work is anyway very good!
