hello everyone!

I'm a regular visitor to cgtalk and I always have the best time browsing through people's amazing works.

I'm posting here for the first time. these are a couple of sketches I did during some spare time I had between jobs.

the concept is an x marine who everybody beleives suffers from shellshock from the war, actually his shock is due to an encounter with an alien race living on earth which he's been hunting ever since(I'ts a rough concept-not final).

very nice sketch work, kindda looks like a genestealer, that the marines killed. i dissagree with the expression thing tho cause he's suposed to be shell shocked.

one crit, his jaw looks to thin, and since he's a marine id think big strong jaw would be more apropriate,

those are beautiful pencils.

i disagree with the jaw crit--after all, you're not going for a chara who's the stereotypical epitome of strength, i would think. his char design shows depth.

I want to thank everybody for their serious crits.

I'm delighted to read the developing discussion about the neture of the character. I was going for the broken, have no choice but to fight, man. I'm a firm believer in an interesting human story guiding the character design.

I'll be posting more works shortly.

more responses will be extremely welcome.

here are some quick concept sketches I did. The concept is based upon the werewolf roleplaying game. Instead of a modern near future apocaliptic campaign I wanted to create a historic romen based story where the animal spirits of nature, werewolfs, werecrows and others fight a desperate battle against a demon infested roman empire.

crits will be most welcome!

Nice work, Rimmer! Especially like the very first pic... i think the whole thing works really well, and i love the expression on his face - perfect! That creature, even in its broken state, looks very cool... I dig the contrast between the aliens sortuv silly, almost harmless, expression and this guys extremely ernest look. I don't know if that was your intent, but it sher works for me! Are you gonna do anything more finished? Maybe inking and colour?

I want to thank everybody for their great crits!

bumskee/William b. Hand : I will probably give the works some color. we'll see if I can find the time.

for now I'm attaching 2 colored works just to build up an appetite for things to come.

the roman soldier was my first ever photoshop coloring.

the fumori is done with prismacolor markers.

enjoy everyone.

crits as usual are always welcome and appreciated!!!
