Title: Dolfo's Me109
Name: Anders Lejczak
Country: Sweden
Software: Modo

Adolf Gallands Me109

Adolf "Dolfo" Galland was a World War II German fighter pilot and commander of Germany's fighter force from 1941 to 1945. He claimed a total of 103 victories in 705 missions.

Modeled, UV-mapped and rendered in MODO.

Please take a look at the full sized image because I don't think the texture variations are visible in the downsized one.

Here are some additional images showing the WIP-process and some meshes.

Here are some close ups on the Spitfire in the background. The Spit is an older model of mine originally created in C4D:

One critique, your plane is shown 100% on it's side from your camera. I would try and avoid that, maybe more of a three-quarter view of the plane would have been nice. Overall great work and effort.

Many thanks.

Lokour - I though about the angle but have seen most airplane renders being done from a 3/4 frontal or rear view and most frequently showing the wings top side. I think this angle shows the texture in a better way. Here's a render with a "better" compression:

yeah! another great model by Anders...

but again, having already seen the rest of your work i would prefer to see a more "dramatic" camera angle of your Me-109. There is some fine detail as seen in your WIP that is not clearly visible on your final image, and that is a shame man cause not everyone can see it unless he visits your WIP link (which i strictly recomend he does)...

thanks.. as usual I will probably create more scenes using this model.
Here's a couple of clean wip shots:
