hi all
well i'm kinda new in brazil biz so...
i am texturing a realistic statue with dark metal(like in the pict)
so my q is:
1-do i have to put brazil's matirial and lights, or shold i use the max ones?
2-and do you have some tip's on how to render it with realistic look?

You can use either. Brazil materials are just another way, with some added funstionality and a few specifics thrown in.. like brazil chrome, glass, car paint etc...

You can use any lights, max ones or Brazil ones. If you want nice GI though you should use a brazil skylight, and arealight.

My tip for rendering metal, is that its 'all in the reflections' if you want a nice looking metal then you need to have objects surrounding your statue that can be reflected... preferably ones with some contrast, some bright lights etc. So that you get some nice highlights on your metal surface. So basically dont be surprised if you render your statue in a blank environment and it looks like shite. :)

why did you get brazil when you dont even know if/what you should use it for or not?
