I apologize if this is a silly question, but I am reasonably new to the rigging process. My question involves IK setups on the arms and legs. I have created RPsolver IK chains on the arms and legs with an elbow/knee control object constraining the pole vectors of the IK handles. Everything works great except for one thing: the elbow and knee joints rotate (by rotate I mean they are rotating in a twisting fashion) as I bring them closer to the body. For example, as I bring the hand in to the body, the elbow twists and causes awkward deformations. Have I missed a critical step to eliminate this issue?
