Phasmatis 04-28-2003, 10:48 AM Here's my UT2003 character, I've already created a charater called "Hull" I'll show a picture of him if there's any interest. :)
He's called MishMash, he's part of a team I'm doing called Ghosts Of War (I know it's a bit cheesy :)) He's rigged and I've put in game, I think he still needs a bit of work though, specially on the seams.

nice model man, the only crit i have on this is that the textures could be a little bit more detailed on the body part, it looks kind of plain for now. but i could see me playing with him in the game

Yeah, textures aren't my strong point, I find metal to be the hardest part to texture.
Here are the textures so far.
This is the head texure, I don't think it's come out too bad concidering it's first one, I think some shadows need tweeking though. (oringal size 1024x1024)

Here's the body texture, if anyone can give some ideas, that would be great, it's very plain around the pelvis area at the moment. (orginal size 1024x1024)

Boy! That's a big eyeball!
Interesting concept though. I'd like to see him with gore hanging from his eviscerated torso.

I think it would be cool if you had some planes hanging down from the lower part of the upper torso with ripped flesh... maybe a ripped intestine too.

Perhaps make the blood from his torn torso stain his pants as well.

Yeah, hanging flesh and intestines isn't a bad idea. At the moment he's about 2500 tris so I have a few polys spare plus they will take that spare bit in the middle of the texture.
Yeah, they eye is 128 x 128, I think I need to make it darker as it doesn’t show up every well.
I'll show the other characters I've done it sec.

Here's Hull, he was my first character, he turned out pretty well.
I used an eviormapped shader from the game for the front of his helmet.

Here's my favourite character so far, I have no idea what to call him though. As you can see, I kind of gave him a mafia look, I thought it quite good for him to look smart even though he has a jar for a head. :)

You copyed the hands from the UT2k orignal mesh. This is not the first time ive seen this. Does everyone do this?

Yeah, it just saves a bit time, plus I don't have to UV map them.

Are they ingame? Hull looks so...cold and detached from the world. A rather sad looking character, but that's just me.

You mean the front part is reflective? That's very nice!
