Here is a tutorial I made for you guys. The head system made a little easier I hope:

Here is an image I use the system on:

I probably won't be back to check the comments. So you don't have to leave any, but I hope it will help.

Thanks.

Small comment: In the preview image the legs look a little too short.

very nice but it does look a little short. i would have put the feet outside the 8 measurements, then both upper leg and lower leg would be 2 units.

Would this system still work if, say I want to draw figures who are twisting and have limbs up in the air.

the proportions on the tutorial are way off

legs are way longer than that

Yeah, sorry, but this is way off, the reason being that the figure is only 6.5 heads tall, while the generally accepted minimum is 7.5 heads and the ideal figure 8 heads.

I always thought it's better to train your proportions perception by drawing from nature
but hmmmm someone seems to find joy and value in counting 'one head, two heads, three heads....eureka!'
sorry if that seems too rude.

Why would you leave a comment like " I probably won't be back to check the comments. So you don't have to leave any, but I hope it will help."
Intentions may have been good but proportionally (the sample figure)......is heading toward achondroplasia.

But legs have congenital problems, just like Down syndrom....

I will post a image of correct proportion later.
