Hi all there!! First of all, This is the first time I post here ;) My name is Pablo Poliakov, I am an 18 years old modeller, looking for some work on the game industry (I live in Spain ^^). This is the model that I am doing for my demoreel, it still very WIP.

This is the high poly version, the objective is to finish this, make another one on low poly and bake normal maps into it.
I am using Softimage XSI 6.5 to model this.

All your comments & criticism will be very welcome, I need to improve if I want to become a professional artist!!

PD: excuse my poor english, plz, I need to improve it too

Good stuff. It'll take a TON of polygons even for a low poly version of this though. I hope you know you can't just bake the whole thing as a normal map in one click...you'll have to do it for lots of individial parts then put them all together to make the low poly model.

Thx for your comment!!! Yeah, I know that this is not an a automagic process. My idea is making on low all the main parts of the tank, to have a more accurate version on lowpoly. Well, I think 12k of polys will be enought for the entire model, no? This is not the first time that I make a normal mapped model, but its the firts non-organic.

Well, here is a render that Ive done because I were bored. The shadow on the ground its awful, I know, and I think that the HDRI map gives too much light, but I am pretty happy with how it looks.

detailed, looks good, but you got a boatload of bolts to put on those wheels ;)

is there a reason you made the front track bow out like that ?
they dont do that in real life. they have a bar in teh front that keeps the track section firmly next to the body. you have your track tied to the tow/lift hooks. thats not where it goes.

just my 0.02 cents
