I am trying to make part of a helmet for a character, but cannot figure out how to extrude Nurbs curves along to other curves.

Here is a pic of the character. The to curves that I want to extrude along are the ones that are highlighted. The curves that are highlighted are curves that were projected onto the head surface. The two other curves that define the shape of the rail surface can be seen at each end of the rails.

I have tried extruding, I have tried birail 2, but most of the time nothing happens after I apply the surface tool, and other times a surface is created but isn't anything close to what I want.

Does anyone have a clue to what could be the problem. Thanks for the help.

I think the problem has to do with the fact that the centre point is not centered, or at least it appears to be something of that sort.

Anyway I think the problem could be solved by extracing the projected curve from the surface, but how do you do that?

Here is what the problem might be with the birail tool. A lot of times you may try to birail and it either does not work, or it says it does and nothing happens. Nine times out of ten it is because you curves are not snapped to each other. What I usaully do is select each curve and turn on CV's. Then curve snap the end CV to the appropriate curve. If you already did birail them, once all the curves are snapped it usually shows up.

Birails are extremely sensitive and all curves need to be connected through snapping.
