Wow!!! That was amazing! Great animation, great characters, great environments...it had the whole package!

I kinda wish it had been its own standalone film though, rather than an extended Kit-Kat commercial...but I ain't complaining...it was a joy to watch!

5 stars...this will be on the frontpage in no time.

Absolutely amazing! I use to see Kit-Kat commercials all the time and this one is probably one of the most creative and well animated Kit-Kat commercial out of the other ones, congrats.

A little critic here,
IMO, it was better if he got some juice, coffee, banana peal, tomatoes...whatever, something more human than getting stabbed in the back with a bunch of scissors an cutters, he should be bleeding while going towards the vending machine. it won't be a kit kat ad though, but a band-aid one :) .
and the moment where he was going to put the coin, all those stuff just disappeared like nothing happened. :curious: (it won't make sense to why he said "Hi" to the freaky twins twice)
But I do agree with the others it's a great animation, and i enjoyed it very much

The "stabbing in the back" was in a figurative sense obviously. I was expecting the scissors and stuff to disappear in the next shot and they did.

Congrats, amazing work, like others, I love the entire short. The animation are impressive, specially the take when the main character say hello to twins, uauuuu, it's so sutil, and surely hard to animate, but you guys are solve the entire short masterly in all areas.

Please, tell us how many animators was involved in the production, and how was your animation plan?

That was an absolutely stunning piece of work by your team! You should all be incredibly proud to have realized something so refined and well-executed. The facial acting on the hero character was particularly of note for me.

If I was to critique anything, I would probably cite the faint similarities to The Incredibles office scenes (particularly the boss) and the Ratatouille Skinner scenes. The shot where he peeks through the blinds from high and low points in his office made me think explicitly of when Skinner and his lawyer are spying on Linguini. Whether intentional, subconscious or coincidental, it just made me think of it. Although, that's not necessarily a bad thing; after all, those are two of the most amazing animated films, well, ever, and you guys certainly are on par with the very best in terms of quality production, so... well done! :)

I eagerly await your next work, and I hope it's something even more personal to you! But Kit Kats ARE delicious.

Best regards,
Andrew

this is so beautifully done that i had to join to post and because of one thing that really needs to addressed. All the pass through. This is so nice that there is no reason you should lower its standard by not addressing all the pass through, especially on the tie. if you dont want to send it back to animation then just fix it with retouch in comp, like render just the shirt and do bezier masks or garbage mattes to get rid of the problem. then it will be great. also think there was some strange popping with the blond when she's in the background. otherwise well done - good luck

Really nice work...
The facial nuances were top-notch!
Love the "got it all together" guy. "Yeah!"

A few small segments of animation seemed a little too sharp or jerky relative to the facial work. example... when he snaps off the kit-kat and takes a bite... his hand motions are a little sharp. But hey, this coming from a guy that makes walk and bounce cycles as a finished work of animation :)

Really just a wonderful over-all package.

When I saw the front page picture I was shocked. Your main character looks like Gary Sinese stumbled into a computer and became animated. So props for the unique character design.

The short was amazing. Especially the shot of the building shooting up in space from planet earth. Great style. I thought the animation looked a little awkward and drew attention to itself sometimes, though. Especially when the elevator doors swing open and he's making such an over-the-top weird stance. Good job anyway.

wide variety of quality on this short, animation wise. Some shots are very good like the first ones and the close ups but some would need a bit more work. The walk, around 1:26 for example on the Youtube video.

Like someone said previously. I couldn't help thinking of the relationship between Ratatouille's Skinner and a less cartoony version of Linguini or Mr Incredible and his boss at work but anyway it works for me.

Other than I love the character designs of the main guy and the boss. The composition is pretty good and I totally relate to the story ..... especially lately ;-)

Nice work. I look forward to seeing more.

Hello!

Congratulations - very well done! I love the overall look - great mixture of realism and comical, beautiful character design /modelling /texturing, the unbelievable detail of the environment, great postproduction, great sound and music and a funny story. I don't mind if he dies in the end or goes to heaven - I think it's funny to keep the audience in doubt.

If I may - and I know, it's ridiculous to criticize an amazing spot like this -> the sexy lady. Her role in the story and reason for her behaviour towards him was unclear to me. But mainly her animation seemed a bit too much. On her sexy-walk the weightshift of her hips doesn't always quite seem right - also in the establishing shot in the beginning. But it's just a little thing which caught my eye. I seem to be alone with this opinion anyway, so don't worry. :D

Again, absolutely wonderful work! Keep up the great work - I have to check out the other spots on your website - can't wait to see more.

Greetings,
Leander.

PS:
The "Have a break, have a KitKat" slogan reminds me very much of the 1950s coca-cola campaign in Germany "Mach mal Pause" (take a break).
