Hi Luke,
I like the beginnings of your line drawing there and I thinik it would be been stronger had you just kept it all in lines instead of starting to shade it at this point.
Something with his head and neck area doesn't look right, his head looks turned too far for this angle.
Anyway keep at it and keep posting!! :)

I seriously need some help. Right now I'm almost only focusing on the figure so that's where I need the help. I would really appreciate any critique and tips. Also, it would be awesome if some of you guys could give me some challenges. Like draw this many figures in these positions, I work better if someone tells me what I have shoot for.

Hey Luke,
I highly recommend checking out the Gesture DVD of Glenn Vilppu. Some links to his books and resources are here:
http://www.vilppustore.com/manuals.htm
It's one thing to struggle without knowing which direction to go in, but this DVD and perhaps his book will give you a good starting point.
Another thing I recommend - try some of the exercises in the Beginner's Lounge, and post them here to your sketchbook thread.
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=199&t=297229
Check out www.characterdesigns.com / photosets for reference (click the dropdown menu to get more reference sets) and do fast sketches where you time yourself - 2, 5, and 10 minute gestures (which are explained in the beginner's lounge).
Looking forward to your progress. :)
Cheers,
-R

Thanks very much, I'll check it out. For some reason, the link to the DVD isn't working.

I know the directions where to do this in a week, but I had nothing else to do so I did it today. Why a week anyway? Maybe I'll listen next time. Anyway, here are the sketches, most of them are probably not recognizable.

There we go. I wasn't use to having a time period to do these in, it was kinda fun when the timers had 10 seconds left.
