View Full Version : How do I render seperate lighting passes?
justinlalaland 01-23-2008, 03:18 PM In maya...
Is it just a case of selecting each light and adding them to a render layer with the objects?
Thanks,
Justin

I just render it exclusively with all passes it affects and plus them.

Although Ive never tried it, you could assign a colour to each light (for example Red, Green and Blue) which will allow you to individually control 3 lights in 1 pass in your compositing app. You could probably play with the falloff and intensity of each light as well by playing with the levels. Theres a huge amount of possiblilities when you think about it.
