I am trying to use the vray renderer to make glass. Does anyone know how to make the highlights of the reflections less intense other than just reducing the glossiness level? This seems to make the whole image very noisy and mulitplies the render time substantially. I would like the glass not to look so pristine and clear. Is there a way to apply a grunge map to the glass? I tried making one in photoshop and placing it in the reflection map slot, but it didn't help. I am also trying to make the base thicker and less see through, as a bottle would really look. I am using the fog settings. The base looks thicker, but it's refracting the light way too much and I keep getting black spots through it. thanks.
