Very good, but a little bit too uniform!

I'm currently working on a water animation myself, but I'm having a really hard time getting the reflection map right... it looks right from one camera angle, but rotate the camera a little bit here and there, and the reflection looks too uniform, though the map itself has plenty of details.... can you give me some hints, as to how you made your reflection map? :) ...or would that be giving away your "trade secrets"? ;)
