yet another I.E prob in here :hmm:

the problem is while 3dmax is running and i click on I.E to load to browser it restarts my system. it only happens while 3dmax is on any one know the cause of this?

check ur RAM. What OS are u running? In many cases, when u run a large application such as 3D MAX and then pop up another, the system memory whacks out cuz there isn't enough and it does an auto restart / memory dump. Make sure u have enough RAM on ur system, that you have enough pagefile space... and hmm... make sure ur BIOS settings have not been tuned out. I realized that on my boards that I have worked with, any overclocking whatsoever makes the system incredibly unstable.... leading to errors exactly as you describe.

i too think it will be a system overload thing. I have run 3dsmax on a few computers all with ie6 and have had no problems even with only 256mb RAM.

It could also be a really messed up install of windows, one that has not be re-installed for years. I had similiar things happen to me once on my old win98 harddrive 2 computers ago.

Let us know your computer specs, and also when the last time you re-installed windows was.
