Hi All

For those of you who have seen the books below...

I've been using MAYA for a few months now and is quite familar with it's GUI now. I've have a good background in 3DS MAX so I think picking up MAYA won't be much of a problem. I am into character animation and basically I'm trying to learn how to rig characters and learn some insight about character animation in MAYA. So which of these two books do you think would suit me?

Maya Character Animation
by Jaejin Choi

or

Learning Maya | Character Rigging and Animation
by Alias|Wavefront

Thanks for your replies...

I recommend "Learning Maya Character Rigging and Anim". It really goes into detail and is very clear on various rigging solutions for a character, in my opinion, it only lacks detailed info on using wrap deformers for muscle type rigging.
Im not too familiar with the "Maya Character Animation" book though; it seems to split focus on all aspects of 3d such as modeling as well as rigging and animation. Its also more affordable.

wgreenlee1 - Thanks for your compliments wgreenlee1. I am glad you liked our site.

Threedeemer - I was thinking about buying "Learning Maya Character Rigging and Anim", but I want to learn a bit of modeling in MAYA so I think I might consider Maya Character Animation by Jaejin Choi. In addition, I am kind of tight on my budget at the moment!

No offence for not taking your advises Threedeemer or anything. I really appreciated both of your replies. You guys have been mostly helpful.
