Hi friends,

This is my new work of art.
This time its about a fairytale "The Serpent queen and her cursed prince". The story is the Serpent queen and the Prince were lovers. But once a witch cursed him and he became a type of bird who is the enemy of snakes.

I used Poser for the figure and Photoshop for the painting with the help of Aiptek slim tablet Pen.

This work is dedicating to my brother Renjith.

Nice work! The eyes of the character remind me of cats eyes.....so i find it humorous that there is a bird sitting on her shoulder (seems more like a cat queen to me in this regard). :)

Couldn't tell that it was a Poser base till I read your description, so well done there. However the lighting/topology of the shoulder looks a little strange (especially the squishing from the sleeve looks exaggerated I think).

Anyway, good idea and effort. I enjoy the warm colours of the character being set off by those of the blue bird. Great hue contrast and a nice deep dark palette.

as an aside, got a link to the tale anywhere please?

other cultures myths/legends/fairystories fascinate me

i will say its a very nice image

no crits of the image, cos i know i cant do any better !
