View Full Version : Collapse Layers

Is it possible to set a shortcut to collapse the group of the layer you currently have selected?

For instance, in many compositing apps it's a typical to press 'c' and have it collapse everything under the current group you are working within. When working with many layers its tedious to scroll and click the triangle.

Any thoughts?

if it can not be done through keyboard shortcuts or actions with a hotkey, maybe a script can do it.

select the layers needed and press "strg + e"

No that would flatten the layers, I'm looking to collapse and uncollapse the parent group.

Maybe I'm just crazy but that seems like something that is very handy :)

Ctrl+E will merge the highlighted layer down to the next

Are you sure he meant merging into one layer and not expanding /collapsing the layer group in order to have the sublayers visible or not?
The question with the compositing app example, reminds me of this.
When one has animated properties but does not wish to view all of them..

No not merging, just simple expand/collapse functionality is what I'm after.
