Error404 04-27-2003, 07:13 AM I'm not sure of the status of photography threads in the Gallery/Finished Work section, so if I am out of line here, please let me know.
Any way, here we go. A local car show here in Scottsdale Arizona. Not the SuperChevy show, I couldn't make it to that.

those are great subjects but a vast majority of your images are over exposed. i can tell this by the sky, you will see in a few of the images that you can see the sky in the sky is almost white. i am a photographer making money, and so i have a few tips for you, first i see that when you where taking the pictures it was very bright outside. what would really help is a polorizing filter, now depeanding on if your camera is auto focus or manual will tell you what filter you need. so ask your local camera store. also another good tipe i have for you is that when i take a picture i take 3 of the exact same thing. 1 exposed correctly by what the camera tells me, and then the next slightly under exposed about a f stop, then the third 2-3 f-stop under. yah you take a lot of the same image but this way you have more to choose from in the end. but i would defenetly if you dont already have one buy a polorizing filter. make sure you only use it those when its bright enought that you have to have sunglasses on.
keep it up

muscle cars!
gimme!
i just rebuilt my 1973 mustang, and now I can see why a guy could fall in love with a car. :)
anyway, back to the point, nicely done pictures. I agree that they seem overexposed but that's just the backgrounds. The cars look great which is what you were going for i'm sure.

bledsoed Thanks for the tips! I do have a polorizing filter, but never new what it was for :surprised: haha!
Yes, it was quite bright outside, the Phoenix sun is killer  I honestly didn't notice tho, My main focus was the cars them selves :D But thanks for the tips, I'll bring that filter next time.
Yes, it is by a McDonalds, they actualy hoste the gathering every Saturday. You can probably see some McDonalds cups in a few of the shots
