I just bought a new Cintiq 20" Wacom tablet. But when I draw or paint in Photoshop my pen tip is offset in a strange position. Making it useless. Has any one else had this issue? If so how do you solve it.
The pen is suppose to be where you place the tip, no??

Also is it possible to run a dual monitor setup ? I find whe I set it up both monitors the text is all fuzzy. Any ideas?
Thanks for your time.

Have you calibrated it?

Yes several times and to no avail. Any ideas.? I keep getting an error message that my tablet driver is corrupt. So I downloaded a new one from Wacom and still no better.

Are you using xp with your cintiq by chance?

Yes. I have windows XP. So any advice on working with XP would be great.

I have got the pen to work finally and the second monitor as a copy. I want to set both up as independent screens.

I made the graphics card see the cintiq first then the monitor, this seemed to help.

I just copied and pasted this from someone's post over at tabletpcreview's forum.

Any lag in Photoshop, Painter and other Wacom driver apps will go away if you stop using XP:Tablet Edition OS. Ever since I have upgraded to Vista Home premium, all the lag from the pen strokes went away with my R25 (http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/autolink.php?id=11&script=showthread&forumid=1).

I've discovered that this is due to a conflict between XP:TE and Wacom driver. That is why apps like Sketchbook Pro that doesn't use the Wacom driver for pressure sensitivity has absolutely no lag even with XP:TE.

This has been discussed many many times at this forum. I even posted screenshots of the lag in effect. So if you don't want lag in your TPC while using art apps, upgrade to Vista.
