Pretty environment ! This image gives a good impression with the hues, the reflections are good :)
But, I think that two matters in this image. The sword, give the impression to be added, can be a blur will return better ? I believe that there is the same problem with the mountain, which is detached
from the sky.

looks good, I don't understand though, did u just alter parts of the photo or do it all by hand? Only things I can see different are the bridge, sky, and the sword.

you have seems on ur layers for the tree's... also the sword is not quite right in the colouring.. your sky is nice (i believe I've seen the photo you might have taken it from).

Other wise not very many changes but nice :)

Thanks for the replies. I'll give a few explainations here. Yes the picture was mainly changing the sky.
I did add the sword (but it was not my idea, so i didn't work too hard at it), but I thought I had gotten the coloring correct. I'll look at tweaking it a bit more.
Yes the photo was taken from the internet some where, a very beautiful picture. But I needed to change it a lot, so I sampled the colors but used only the tiny clouds in the distance. It's a pretty cool method of cloud making by using Alpha channels from realy cloud pictures. It works pretty well.
I do actually agree with the mountain looking kind of "cut out" I think I have to put a couple more hours into it.

Thanks again!

The mountains in the background don't look right to me. I think it's because the shadows are too black, whilst they should have a sort of washed out look because of the distance.

yep, the shadows on the mountains are too dark, even at dusk there would be more ambient light than that. Its dimished the atmospheric perspective on your image...

I'd like to see an updated version:thumbsup:

He he, I think the sword makes it look cheap too. But that was what the teacher wanted so, that's what I put in.
I'm going back to work on it right now. I'll try and update it by tomorrow. Thanks!

That's hilarious Bliz, that actually was the castle used in that movie (good eye).

Here's the updated version. (I promise no more WIP for this one)
I ditched the sword, and lightened the background significantly. Thanks again for the input guys.

Yeah I know, I've been there a few times on holiday for that very reason, very nice area.

Looking good so far, the bridge merges in with the background a bit. Maybe a bit of rolling ground fog behind the bridge would push it more forward?
