HOw to import 3ds max camera to after effects? ok as far as i know, there are two ways, one is to use max2ae plugin which i neither hv nor wanna buy. second is to use rpf camera extract. this 2nd way seems to wrk for me but it is not wrking correctly for me in a way that i m using 3ds max Target Camera but on importing in ae, it lost its target n behaves like a Free Camera.

Then bake the keyframes and un-target the cam. Seems the logical thing to do, or does it not?

No, I meant bake in MAX. Your problem is that there are no correct rotation values in the RPFs 'cos target cam's never really rotate. I'm not a MAX user myself, but I'm reasonably certain you can add a motion modifier to the cam to get correct Euler rotations and plot/bake the resulting curve.

Hi, did you ever find a solution for getiing a max camera into AE? I can't seem to find how to bake in the camera animation in max?
