rotating in a little radius

http://host.deluxnetwork.com/~lana/cgtalk/tank%20thread.zip

here is a thanks thread animation well done by following "NURBS tank thread tutorial" (if u cant find tutor. mail me.)

if u wanto learn .that link u can find in maya tutorials section.
or here is the link

http://www-viz.tamu.edu/courses/tutorials/hunter/presentation.htm

HERE IS THE QUESTION !!! :surprised
how can I rotate right as real physique rule simulation ? (with express editor ? or any good other way ?)

u know while rotating (by slow walking or rotating in it self ) the inner thread takes a stroll less than the outher thread of tank

if we imagine the tank rotates around it self. than simulatin' it is easy. threads animates in opposite way.

but how can I rotate tank while going in a little radius way?
how can I rotate it?

there is the thread animated in local thread strap way scene. that u can use it as reference from begening to solve the phsique problem.

if anyone know ,please. I want to learn howto. share your knowledge with me :)

I will try and help you, I wnet through the tutorial really quickly and I like the way it ended up.

I will give everyone a small amount of advice at the end of the tutorial. He tells you that you have to select EACH tread and then do the linear tangent, and then cycle them in the infinity (pre and post). You can actually select all of the treads at the same taim, and then open up the Graph Editor. Then select all of the keypoints in the graph, do linear tangents, and cycle them, done!

So next to your problem, butcher. Most times it won't matter about the tread, because the motion won't be slow enough for the camera to make it appear. So I just attached a new group to a path, just like you attached all of those tank treads. Now it follows the path. If you do it again to the identical curve on the outside, you will see that it has to spin a little faster to keep up with the motion path. As long as you use identical curves to drive the tank belts, you won't have a problem.

Download it here (http://www.spatiallight.net/stuff/tankTread.zip)

But if you want to make something similar as a set driven key setup, it is possible. Then you could have the treads attached to a tank setup, and only need to animate the tank. But that would be a bit harder to explain.

I hope the file works the way you need it to.
