View Full Version : Animation Reel
Slurry 04-26-2003, 10:20 PM Hi Folks,
Just recently "completed" my animation reel. Not that it will ever be complete, just ongoing...
But this is the first incarnation of my reel and I am posting it here to try and gain some exposure.
I hope you like it,

you'll need DivX 5.03 to view it. It's about 1:30 and 9 MB.

If you want more people to take a look at it please post a direct link so they can do the right-click -> save target as deal
If it is an animation reel, why did you include the sketches at the end? Overal it was a little bit fragmented without enough close-ups on the things you were animating. Good start, you have some nice stuff in there, but the reel itself needs work.

Thanks for commenting Stephen02.
Here is a direct link to the avi for any others that prefer this method of viewing.

The video was reduced to half size so I could post it on the net. It was created to be viewed on a TV as most reels are. So, yes, the resolution makes it a little difficult to see I'm afraid. I was hoping that professionals watching it would be able to get an idea of what I had created and if interested, request I send them a tape.
The life drawings are a requisite for demo reel for the course I am enrolled in.
Of course, many studios look for life drawing from their character animators (such as Pixar, Disney) so the reason for their inclusion is two-fold.
I hope that makes it more clear for you.
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my thread.
Good luck in your own endeavors!
