View Full Version : New Grass Tutorial (using Hair) by PZDM
govinda 01-18-2008, 07:27 AM Tutorial link: http://www.3dsoftware.cz/3dportal/
A few days ago Pavel Zoch (aka PZDM) posted an image of a project he just completed (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=583888). The grass in the image looked amazing, and people asked for a tutorial.
Tonight Pavel completed and posted the first part of the English tutorial at the link above. Having gone through the tutorial in detail, I can say that I've learned quite a few things that I'll be using within weeks. Great work by Pavel!

Thanks, Pavel and Richard. Been waiting for this one. I almost missed seeing it since it wasn't on the main page. Making good grass is one of the reasons I bought Hair. Your hard work is much appreciated.

Just one thing though, would you please post a link to part 3? I can't seem to find it. My multi-lingual skills are lacking. Thanks!

I may have jumped the gun on Pavel. I don't think he's made the front-page link for Part 3 yet. Well, trust me it's lovely and really worthwhile, whenever it appears. I'll post another bump then. My bad!

Excellent tutorial! I just found it and it's really a joy going through it -- clear, well written and with all important steps explained. As a bonus you'll pick up some essential inormation on Hair and how it works. Two thumbs up!:thumbsup:
