View Full Version : Justice League on Hold...
Looks like Warner Brothers has put "Justice League" on hold for the time being.
The two major factors being the writers strike along with not being able to get tax breaks for shooting in Australia. Lets hope everything gets worked out.

The movie hasn't even been made yet and I bet they have already spent 20 Million on the film.
I guarantee it.

weta workshop were gearing up for costume duty on the gig, ...I wonder why they can't get the usual tax break in Aussieland? Here's a link to news of weta's involvement anyway

IMDb said that Ken Ralston was the vfx supervisor for the film. Gotta respect a man like Ken -- he's like Dennis Muren in that you're always excited to see what he's working on...and in most cases, it's mindblowing stuff. I'm so sorry to see this put on hold, because the idea was excellent.
I initially thought this was going to be another Imageworks performance capture animated project, but with Weta Workshop's involvement, I decided against that idea, since model work would give a more live-action edge. And so I was therefore more excited about the project.

Everything was great about this movie, until they wrote and casted it.
They had the director and cinemetographer from Road Warrior.
They had Weta doing costumes.
And it was a teenage Justice League, total crap!
Warners never EVER learns.
The only way I would have accepted a teenie JLA was if it spun off of Smallville with Tom Welling, but oh noo, they had to top Batman and Robin, and make sure this sucked bigger than anything ever before it. So now we have ANOTHER Superman, and while they have
a currently succesful Batman movie, they go and cast a teenie Batman, real smart move.
This should have been Bale and Routh, and whoever else.
Like Superman Returns, it would have looked greated, and had been a total abomination.
Best thing ever was that this went on hold were it belongs.

What about a Justice Society film instead?

I'm a huge comic fan, but when I heard about it being Justice League Junior, I had my fingers crossed it wasn't gonna get made. Which is sad since a Justice League movie done right would have kicked ass.
They should have just made a Teen Titans movie if they wanted a young team so bad.
