a certain bounty hunter is destined to have his own show.

The idea is to do, say, 13 to 16 episodes over one or two years -- we haven't quite figured that out yet as television is changing so dramatically worldwide. After the second or third year, one of the characters from the first series could move on to his own series. Then, by the fourth or fifth year, we would love to have four or five separate TV series of 13 episodes each running. That's a pipe dream right now, of course! But as long as it's good, and as long as people respond, and as long as we're doing it at the level we need to do it, and people care about the characters, I think that's totally possible.

I hope for the best, like a "Clone Wars" type show, but it sounds a lot like...

Holy crap Floyd that is the one the best responses I've seen in awhile. Thank God I was'nt having a drink at the time.
I will wait to see what SW is gonna be like, I am open to it as long as it is O.K.
As fa as animation goes, I don't think it will be bad for the industry over all. Some other companies will probably want to "keep up with the Jones" and start their own series.

I'm all up for another TV series but for goodness sake they havent even given us the first series they promised yet!
The Star Wars prequels were left too late and the release of this series is starting to follow suit...
I agree, enough with Star Wars. If they decided to explore some of the books, esp. the Timothy Zahn series, then ok. But young Boba Fett, Luke, and more puppets just don't cut it. It is a dead horse indeed. There are tons of good sf stories out there that could make for great film/tv.

Totally with you on that.
this guy is terrible.
he once said during one of the documentary's of ATTC, that "we finally see why boba fett grows to hate the skywalkers..." or something like that.
he dosen't even know the story of the original trilogy... and he's executive producer...

I loved the old ones, hate the new ones...
They should have quit in the eighties... But it's alot of money that's being made on this dead horse, not that the creator is short of funds though.
I just wish mr Lucas would have some dignity and come up with something new and fresh instead of milking the starwars universe for every last drop.
My opinion

I think he said "why he hates the Jedi". I'll have to check it again, but that would make sense in his behaviour in ROTJ as he had little reason to attack Luke.
Oh dear.
That was very nerdy of me.:scream:

If George comes in to work one day and says to ILM
"Hi guys! We are going to make the Zahn book into films...and xxxxxxx is going to direct them, have fun, i am going on a 6 year holiday, i dont have my phone with me, so dont try to call...See you at the premiere!" THEN i would be excited
As it stands.....

Well..after seeing how MASTERFULLY he staged the rise and creation of one of the worlds best known bad guy in the last "film", something that billions of people have been waiting for for 20 years, im not at all worried about what hes now going to do the world's best loved and coolest (sorry Dog) bounty hunter.
