View Full Version : Copy Object with Material
steurba 04-15-2002, 08:19 PM hi everybody,
Could someone please tell me how can I copy an Object with his own material?
When I copy an obj the material is shared with the original, I would like to obtain a new obj with his own shader.
Thanks a lot

just apply the shader you want on that new object....that should fix your problem...

Suppose that you have to create a hundred copies of an obj and you have to lightly modify their material.
I think that could be really confortable to avoid to create a new shader for each object!!!

 Whoa!!....well my friend I don't know what to tell ya....you could try using only 3D textures....they are base on a 'world' texturing bases...so each object ( if not sharing the same space )....will have slight differences with texture mapping...other than that man....I can't help ya.....
sorry.....:(
