Hey all,
I have pretty much quit doing any sort of graphic work lately and have entirely retreated to codeing websites and web-databases.
I am running on a Toshiba Tecra M7 (2ghz core 2 duo & 2.5gb of ram) and it has a tablet/penabled wacom display.
I am currently running on windows xp tablet pc edition and it is as slow as my 3ghz p4 with 2 gigs of ram.
This to say the least is PISSING ME OFF! >_<''
So, I thought I'de put Vista 64 on it. Much to my dismay Photoshop CS3 ran like a slide show, If I used my pen I MIGHT see a line about 10-15 seconds after I had drawn it. I tried the printer thing, genetic printer thing, transparacy levels, satanic rituals, human sacrafice and the blue berry muffin juggling fix but it just kept lagging as if working propperly would be violateing it's artistic integrity as a slide show.
So, I had the idea to put another OS on. Windows XP64 has less support than George Bush trying to privitize social security in iraq, and Lynix has no photoshop support which left me with one curious idea.. Leopard OSx86 project...
for thoes of you who dont know what that is.. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Has anyone here tried running photoshop off a PC running off OSX86? If so how is it? I've heard all kinds of complaints and gripes about compatibility across hardware so I am some what reluctant. If anyone could shed some light on weather or not this is practical, let me know.
