Helloooooo!!

So ive started working on a new model which is based on a concept that I drew whilst bored at work.

And im quite new when it comes to poly limits and optimisation (and still working on anatomy) so I thought it would be best to post this whilst it was still in early stages.

At the minute there is a symmetry modifier on the model but I intend parts to be asymmetrical such as the ears, further details in the arm hair, tattoo, etc.

Anyway I was just hoping that someone could advise me just to see if I was heading in the right direction or not.

Thanks.

Ok, so ive just started using Mudbox (tried ZBrush but prefer the Mudbox interface). Amazing piece of kit.

Anyway, I decided that I wanted normal maps on this character so I started experimenting with the tools and have now got this:

Got up to 350''000 faces then my laptop started to chug.

Wanna start UVW unwrapping the low poly soon and then texturing in photoshop, using the normal map as an underlay so I can get everything right.

As its still quite dirty, wanna pix a lot of the normal mapping in photoshop, especially to get the lower details.

All opinions welcome :D.
