View Full Version : Best method for creating wires?

Does anybody have a technique or suggestion for creating lots of wires on the floor, without having to painstakingly position them individually?

HairSpline dynamics is helpful, but I don't think it has a falloff to replicate the thickness of a typical wire.

I'm looking at maybe 200-300. So you can imagine how long that would take manually.

Actually. Spline dynamics does have a radius.

Maybe a tracer object from a simple Particle emitter, some turbulance
and then spline dynamics.

But even then, there's no 'self collision' between those falling splines.

hair also has a radius in the dynamics tab its called surf. rad.
