Title: Bridge Town Concept
Name: Matt Ellis
Country: Canada
Software: Photoshop
This is a concept for my next matte painting project. It is a town that is high in the mountains and when they started running out of space they decided to expand the town on bridges.
I will be doing most of the matte painting in 3D and hopefully have a camera move to the scene when the scene is finished.
Cheers!

Forgive my ignorance but what exactly is a camera move?

Swedishnitro - A camera move is exactly that - the movement of the camera through the scene. With matte painting, you can finish the painting, project the painting onto 3D geometry, and make a 3D scene from it that the camera can move around in. There are limitations to it, and im giving you a very simplified explanation, but you can get some fantastic results from it. And it means that instead of having to model, texture, light and render a 3D scene, you just do the matte painting, some basic modelling, the projection and then render it as a photoreal animation.
Hope that makes sense.
Matt - This has been improving non-stop for quite some time, and its been great to see it reach this stage. Now i just look forward to seeing the final matte painting!! Speak to you soon buddy!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, 5* of course!!

Hey thanks for the great comments everyone :D
Hey Paul , yeah when i get into the matte painting process I will probably add more highlights around :D
Jay: Nick pretty much explained it there. I will start modeling some 3D elements very soon and figure out exactly how I should go about doing it.

I like the muted colors, I think it really creates an old world mood. Sweet concept.
