Try this: select the mesh, rightclick, optimize, maybe there's a couple vertexes you lost control on

Thats nice Mike

My mantra has become "Align normals" > "Optimize" when modelling now lately :)

.obj converts everything to ploys anyway so its probibly fine.

It looks excellent so far, but I think you're going to have to rework this: http://bellsouthpwp.net/A/d/AdamTrachtenberg/bmw_wire.jpg
That 5-edge point's going to make it hard to keep a smooth surface.

slouchcorp

thanks adam sorted now hopefully should be ok.

Hows things?......ya not to bad bud thanks,am doing battle with ripping a mesh of a LOTR type pillar for a scene I am making. It has numerous bevels so its not much fun and is taking numerous re makes to just sort out the UVs let alone painting the sucker :D

Give me a yell if you get stuck on texturing or want a hand ok bud

The modeling looks great, but the materials need mucho work. Also, if you have 8.1 you should use the new Phong break feature along the edges that shouldn't receive smoothing. It makes a big difference.

Slouch!!! You rule!

You're mesh ownz!!!

Frankly, I think you should use some fake HDRI. make sure you include refections in the texture!!

Come on!!! atleast post a test render!!!!

w00t!

Ill check out thirds thread see if i can find that cr shader to pull apart.
