Hello, this is my latest work, an old toy car I found in a wardrobe.
This is my first post here and my first car, so be nice ;)
Any feedback is welcome :)

Spiffy! ;) Nice render. I liked it a lot. As most people will ask, what software did you use? That's some good photorealism there. Only small crit would be that the toy car looks too clean to be an actual toy... seriously, have you seen what children's toys look like? And yeah, if that looks exactly like the one you found, then fine, but I dunno... I would try to make it look more like perhaps a little kid had been playing with it.
Hope that wasn't too harsh for your first crit ;)

Very nice image indeed, particularly good work on the lighting. I'm not too sure about the dark purple paint job, but the model looks very convincing and is an excellent representation of a toy representing a real car :)
Great work.

The Gunslinger, I used 3dsmax and rendered with standard
scanline. Trying to make it look used in a realistic way was the
hardest part, since it was my mother's car, and she almost
never played with it. :) The original looks almost brand new.
I can take crits, no worry :)
Frank Dodd, thanks, I'll see if i can do something about the
purple paint when I have some free time :)

Bah, mothers...
I thought that was probably Max.... I don't know, I would just see about putting some nice little dings in it and maybe some dirt... but nothing too disastrous because then it just because obvious that it's CG. I remember all of my toy cars.. they all have some kind of gunk on them or are missing at least 2 of the wheels or both or there's some other horrendous thing with them. Well, good luck with this if you choose to go farther with it... ;)

I must insist that, if you want to make this image perfect, give the seat some wear on the texture. The texture on it is too sharp. I can assure you that this will make the car look 110% more realistic. I think everything else is pretty damn good. Nice job.
/edit I think you ought to give the old matchbox some fading on the box and also some marks on the striking surface where matches have been used on it (it makes a streaked light sulfur red blur across it, i would go look at some match boxes and see what they look like after some use). If for some reason this matchbox has never been used, i would make that apparent by putting it in its original plastic wrap or something like that.

The Gunslinger, I have a friend who worked quite hard on making
his cars look "used" when he was about 12 years old. He put
them on fire and shot everything that was left with his air rifle
I dont know if I'll add more dirt to the purple paint yet,
but I might do something about it :)
Risibility, great idea, thanks. I'll have a look on it later tonight :)
edit: I'll fix the matchbox too

Sounds like my little brother. Again, good luck with whatever you do with this :)

i like it too much. I like these little changes.
anyway.... with regard to the box......still lacks something... you should make a small change. personally I would wrinkle the box a little in one of their borders. anyway well done!

I'm glad that you like it :)
The pictures are offline at moment, grafisktforum.org seems to
have some trouble with the server, but it should be fixed soon.
