Side Effects is pleased to launch the Houdini Gallery that showcases images and animations that were created in Houdini and rendered with Mantra. The gallery is being launched with some images that will be familiar to the Houdini community and some that are new.

The gallery also has a "Submit your Artwork" page in order to encourage Houdini and Houdini Apprentice users to share their work with the community. If you have any images/animations you would like to submit, please visit the gallery for more information.

We look forward to seeing new images in the gallery as the Houdini community continues to grow. Thanks to everyone whose work has been posted already.

How old is that guy who did the meteor? On his website it says he's 16! I hope its outdated and he's at least 19-20 ;)

If he's actually 16, I may as well count myself as one of the permanently unemployed

SESI really needed to do this, people need to see that mantra is a capable render. But still, some of the renders we see looks quite dated if you ask me.

Oh yeah Miguel's stuff is great.

Look at it this way, if you had access to Houdini Apprentice in it's current form when you were 15, you might be doing some pretty cool stuff by the time you were 16 too.

The kid's got a bright future :)

(Man, just having a C64 would have been awesome when I was 15...)

At 16 I was just chasing girls.. I wish I had started earlier but I can fill the gap by studying harder!!! Great work as always Miguel!

Thank you tonina :). Well, mainly self taught, and also with the valuable help of the forums and houdini's help files, wich are great to learn. No courses or books, if that's what you meant.

Thanks again to everyone!

This is a bit off topic...
