View Full Version : Q: Creating new faces by dragging edges?
ssalo 04-25-2003, 11:21 AM Hi!
Coming from max background, I was wondering can I create new faces in Maya by dragging edges (like in max's shift+drag)?
Thanks, Sami

i don't know that maya can do that.

That's shame really. ...:thumbsdow
but it's probably scriptable so I seek highgen3d amongst others if I find any solutions.

? why not assign it to a hotkey? like.. pick an edge.. which you will do anyway.. press a hotkey and add the edge.?
err wait. the maya workflow is command->pick->execute right?
if thats the case guess that will kinda kill the workflow for ya :/
but if its select->execute command then its pretty much identical to what you already do. all you gotta do is be smart with your hotkeys.
ambient-whisper is right, just assign a key and it'll be exactly the same ;)
(It's pick -> command, for most tools in Maya)
