maybe he could jiggle the pelvis a bit? left to right?

nice swing in those hands! but he might be :bounce:-ing a bit to much?

If that is your first walk cycle I think it's very nice! :)

If you want advice, maybe you could try to get some more motion in the hips and shoulders, and maybe you can let the motion of the arms overlap the motion of the feet a little bit, (let them swing a little). Try to offset the keys on the arms a little bit.

well, he is a cartoon, he's supposed to :bounce: !

:wavey:

this really was only a first test, I'm moving on to new tests of walk cycles, this time trying to convey more emotion with the character...

I was thinking of making him handle objects of sorts. Carrying stuff around, and such...:wavey:

Looking good. The only thing I would suggest is leaning the entire uppper body further forward in the run cycle. This will give more of a sense of weight to him.

I like the run cycle SO much more than the walk.

but I can tell that you are animating the limbs first and disreguarding the body... don't do that.

The body's movement defines the arms movement, you should animate up and out. In traditional animation we even leave the arms completely off the character untill the legs and body "flow right".

Great Job, especially if this is your first time animating. keep at it!

I like it, correct from a toon perspective, however.

You might want to animate the weightshift from leg to leg.

i reckon you should try to make him trip/fall over something. nice work.
