CGTalk - White Blood

Hello again!
Here's a piece that I started yesterday. I used a photo for reference and did a rough sketch.
I want a very white look to let the lips pop out and beeing the main focus - so I did the shading with variations of grey.
I will paint white fluid out of the mouth, nose and running down from the top.
I don't paint the eyes - not because I couldn't but because I want the face kinda melt in the surface and again melt together with the fluid - in sort of an circle or something like that.
The original format of the painting is longer than this view here.

For the geisha lipstick i got inspired by some other fabolous works here.

I don't know if I'm able to paint it the way it's in my head but we'll see...

I just came up with this surreal idea and I wonder how it will develope. Just another exercise for me i guess.

Not sure what you're finished intent is but you might be careful it doesnt' come out looking like her nose is just running profusely. :)

Oh - I might have to say that this grey rough outlines is just a sketch to show where the fluid will be - so this is why it looks kinda weird...

she has no cold :)

Heh. Ok - since it was called "white blood" I didn't know if you were going to make the fluid white too. Then again, make sure she doesn't look like she has a nose bleed. Er...unless that's what you're going for. ;)

Well, I have to say that I was a little too ambitious about this picture. After I played around and countless variations I almost wanted to throw this in the basket...
It didn't really work for me yet to paint a believable white fluid and the idea of the "nose running" was crap after all...
I finally came up with this version - nothing spectacular - but at least worth to finish it I guess.
So I will work a little more on the lips and leave it then to work on other pieces...

Hehe.. nice idea! Do not surrender, fight it to the end! =)
Maybe you must play with the blood colour and add a little colour to the face. Do not work on details till you clarify your colours! Tone and colour are very important in such pieces.. =)
