View Full Version : Using Offset Filter ?!?!?!?!?
younger143 01-09-2008, 07:53 PM is there a way to use the offset filter in photoshop for just a selection, rather than the entire image.......basically i need to seemlessly wrap a torso texture so that the left side matches the right edge and vice versa.....but when i use the offset filter, the entire uv texture (including legs and arms, etc) is wrapped around and there is a big gap between the left and right side.....any suggestions?

Hi, it sounds like you need to mirror the UVs from one half of the torso rather than try to fudge it in Photoshop.
You can just build and map one half of your model and mirror/attach it. Just try to keep texture details away from the edges that make the centre line of the texture, and you will have less touching up to do afterwards.

you should be working on different layers in photoshop, so you can independently move items in the image...
