StefanB 04-24-2003, 08:15 PM salaam alaikum,
here is a 4 sec. animation with my battle tank, it's just a test.

I forgot, i used the XVID Codec. I think you can watch it with ffdshow and DivX5.03.
I didn't rebuild an existing model. The textures on the tank are procedual except the symbols and the lights.
The next is to animate the wheels and the treads.

Hmm... QuickTime doesn't like .avi files.
Any chance of putting that up in a QT friendly format?
:)
a.s.
this tank is really good! love the details.
some smoke would be good after it shots.
is it possible to see a bigger still of your tank?

And don't forget the tank is still WIP.

Yes there is a bit, but its visibility is to short. I need to experiment a little bit.

:hmm: i'm sorry but i don't like quicktime and have no clue how to add sound to a *.mov file. The AVI container with a mp3 sound is easy to use and it's free. Maybe i can give you with the picture a impression.

Stefan
i use editing software to get sound into it but you can also use quicktime pro which would probibly work too.

Goodlooking tank Stefan!
Really looking forward to seeing how you do the treads.
Oh,and I'm in complete agreement with the QT thing.
Not sure what I dislike more,Realplayer or QT.
What I really hate tho is the proprietary media formats they both use.
Which is why I always go for xvid and ogg. (ogm container format kicks arse) :)
