Hi I'm very new to MB so go easy ;)

I am trying to edit some mocap I have shot. I want to edit the mocap so that my loops are a bit cleaner (for passing into massive). So I have characterized my skeleton and that all seems to be ok. Now what I want to do is load up my mocap and edit it.

So I load up the amc and it appears fine on the skeleton. I "plot character" on it and then go to the story window (following the "create a loop" tutorial). Now i select the hip effector and create a pose at frame 0. I then go to the end of the loop, where I want the pose to be pasted and hit paste. In the tutorial it creates a new 1 frame clip which can then be blended back into the original clip so it loops. This doesn't happen for me. It seems to always add an extra frame of animation onto the original clip... I don't get it. I had hoped that this would be a simple thing to achieve in MB but it just seems to be a hugely complicated piece of software that doesn't have a lot of tutorials.... please help :)

I'm really desperate to get going on this motion editing.

Thanks

Alan

Hi,
I think I can help you on this one :) Just tell me which "create a loop tutorial" you're refering to? Is it from the help files of MoBu or from somewhere else?

Btw I think I might have to create some loops for use with Massive sometime soon, so if you find a solution for this somewhere else please share it ;)

well what I ended up doing was luckily finding a quick tutorial (the "SWAT" one from Autodesk). This showed me how to do it without using the story mode (which was a lot simpler!!)

Try there
