Disclaimer:
I may be intolerant of certain missing SDK elements, how they prioritize ( use of resources ), and how they view nodes ( :insane: )...
BUT:
After using EIAS, VIDI, FormZ, TDI/WAVEFRONT, PowerAnimatior, and MAYA I would like to say the C4D is incredible. It has been the most stable, predictable 3D production tool I have ever used ( OK, Renderman rocks too! ). It simply makes me money as an artist. It does not fail in that final hour. That is saying alot from an unyielding, intolerant bastard such as myself. I have vision and will not stop until I get there ( Just ask MAXON  ). Cinema4D provides the most accessible feature set to complete that task. And kudos to MAXON for getting their marketing up to par. It instills a confidence in me as a user and developer.
That weight is so much lighter now. Had to be done. Now it's done. Now I am done. Fork to forehead...
