Elooo ...

Here's my pitch at a natural photorealistic head. Spent 5 days working on it. There seem to be some problematic areas but I couldn't nailed it after staring at it for the past hour.

GO ahead, blast me now-

the ears need work and you should smooth out that bump at the top of the nose between the eyes...

Also it looks like you painted lighting into your texture map which will look bad (unless this is a game model)

Thanks for the comments. Here's an update. I've refine her overall features so she looks more elegant. The ear is corrected. And I've shifted lights/colours around so she's more naturally coloured (the first one seems to be under a thiiin layer of makeup).

Anyway I've decided to put a freeze to this one until I learn to texture better. I'll still appreciate any further comments. :)

hmm...

The shape of the eyes seem fine,

but usually the eyes of asian people aren't sunk that much.

(goes to look at the mirror :D)

So my suggestion is to make the whole area in between the eyes flatter than it is.

Also, try to make the tip of the nose more round and smooth.

I think it's a bit sharp.

Anyways, keep up the good works! :)

i can see some gemetry problems around the eyes, mouth (sharp lines) and dont stitch the pollys between the eyes (nose bridge)
and you must do something about the ear , looks like she had some FATAL plastic surgery... :)

annyway.. this is just minor tweeking

hey! i post i wire.... hope this help!

It's a good start!

Apart from what they mentioned above, I think you need to work a bit on the area where the nostrils connect to the cheeks.. it looks a bit messy and flat.

Also the side of the cheeks and up to the temples looks a bit too flat, like the cheek-side of face angle is a bit too sharp.

Hey guys, those were good comments. It's one of those times you've stared at your model so long you get numb from its kinks. Anyway besides incorporating your suggestions I've amputated the ear cos I'm redoing it from scratch.

I'm aware the edge loops around the mouth, especially between the nostrils and upper lip need some work but I'm outta ideas. Any direction would be good ..

Here's the latest update ...

while it looks like the structure around the eyes has been pretty well defined and would deform fairly well, the area around the mouth looks to me like it need to be completely restructured. the mouth area should be built pretty much as you would build around an eye, with concentric circles. this gives a monre natural flow to the face and also it will deform much better when animated. for basic reference check this screenshot of one of my characters (it's an older screenshot, and the model has changed a bit, but u can see the structure and flow of the edges/loops etc):

Edge loops around mouth fixed. The model should be final. Gonna take my own sweet time texturing her.
