catchcat 04-24-2003, 11:52 AM hi,all:
I am a begginner in max.Is it a good way or necessary to take a course in a training center and get the certificate of max?Does it help a lot?
I looked through some tuts ,but they r mostly some instances. Are there anything about modeling theory, such as how
u can model better in surface modeling and something like that.
thanks a lot.:bounce:

courses can only be for the better, as can a certificate.
it looks nice on the resume and you will learn a trick or two.
if you got the time & money, i'd say go for it :)

they are a very good starting point, but its always useful to know a bit before you do a course, that way you can ask more questions and get the information you want.
as Equinoxx says, go for it if you have the time and money, but they will not give you all the answers, the rest you have to do by yourself.

ya, good advice from both of u .
I checked the book which is used for teaching,it is called "The standard course in max",it is said that is official book.
But the content is just about the max's interface and how to use max and some basic model skills,or even i think is smiliar to tht tut
in max itself, nono,:buttrock: ,i am not care the certificate but care what i can learn.
I know the basic but just want to improve my level.
Is it a better way to do like this:first, learn all the tuts in internet if possible then buy some books to learn further,or reverse the sequence??
thanks for helping me.
