Guys I have two questions.

1) I'm aware that Lightwave has cylindrical UVW unwrap which totally rocks for facial mapping. I wonder if there's something similiar in MAX.

2) I've tried simulating "fleshy" sub surface scattering using the wax shader but my model still looks like mannequin. Anyone tried something similar successfully here?

By the way, this is my first head, what do you guys think?

read the sticky . . .

max has a cilindrical UVW as well. which you can unwrap using the uv unwrap modifier.

since the sticky is relatively new, i will let this thread live.

but this IS technically a partial F1 answer . . .

Whoops sorry, missed the sticky and I'll read every line twice from now on cos I didn't spot this one!! --> "Existing UVW coordinates on an object can be unwrapped and edited as well."

Hmm...still have a lot of thing to improve such as polygon control...anyway u should post a wireframe to us....hehe

:p ;)

Anyway...for the first head this is good enough liao, my first head i still remeber how it look like, it make me don't dare to model again, haha :buttrock:
