View Full Version : What Student Loan Banks work well with 3d schools?
srich23 04-24-2003, 08:15 AM I am looking at a few 3d schools, mostly Ex'pression center in san francisco. I am checking out different student loan banks, like sallie mae, citibank, mission etc. . I know there are a lot of students and former students on this board, and i'm sure lots of you have taken student loans. Some of the banks are touchy with the 1 and 2 year 3d programs they mostly do 4 year uni's and graduate schools. In your experiences, what major student loan banks would you recommend? wouldn't recommend? thanks for your time? (example i've heard sallie mae has declined several requests of people i know, while they walk in a smaller union and get a loan in 3 hours.).:)

I'd stick with schools that are accredited and are eligible for federal financial aid programs. A Direct student loan is much better than most privatized loan schemes. They can be subsidized (interest is paid while in deferrment), the interest rate is WAY lower, and the post graduate options such as forberance etc are better.

if you are going to get outside school loans....i have had great success with sallie mae.....they make it really easy and the interest rates are not that bad....i have tried others like wells fargo but they make it alot more difficult and unless you or your parents make a sh#t load of money each year then they won't even look at you
