View Full Version : New Short Dialogue

I am making the changes to my other dialogue but wanted to work on something on the side so as to not drive myself crazy. I'd love to know anyone's comments on this one and would appreciate their hard critiques. It still in its molding phase so a lot can be done to fix it. Thanks!

Well this is still a blocking stage, but I think it good enough, nice work!
Your dialog is great, but when he said "fine line" I think you should hold the F shape for 2-3frames. And I think his gesture is not quite good when he said "line", I don't know, it's a little bit off for me.
Well, can't wait to see the update!
Keep up the good work, mate!

Here is a revision of the posted dialogue piece.
I made some significant adjustments to the spine which I think have helped. I am ready to start fine tuning it, provided no one has any serious complaints about it. (here's hoping...) Thanks for all of your help!

lookin cool! the 'fine line' gesture reads a little late, you might want to start the 'line' posing at the start of the word 'fine'. (If that makes any sense) :P

Thanks for your replies! I made this version which I called "final" but I can still make changes if need be. I rendered it before I read your post, Lianna, and can make adjustments to the timing. I'd still love to hear people's thoughts. Thanks!

looks spiffy! If I had one suggestion it'd be to try loosening the grip on the cup a little. It might add-on to his character, and lend itself to some more whip-like action on his hand. Cheers! :)

Some more adjustments have been made to his left hand as he moves it.

Seeing as the left hand flicks, maybe a cool idea to let some of his drink spill out?

the wrist and hand aren't working seamlessly together it seems...try moving the L hand gesture one or two frames earlier to have a nicer offset with the wrist
