Replace the SPLASH.SWF with SPLASH.jpg or BMP I think...

i dont really care for splash screens... it becomes the same old boring 5.1 screen when the files are loaded, so i dont bother. but anyway, these are very nice indeed.

Hey, if you love splashscreens here are some from a German beginner community:
http://www.gfx-inside.de/viewtopic.php?topic=4528&forum=18&start=0

Browse through the thread, there are four or five.

They are nice!! I especially like the last one!

Do you guys remeber the max 4.2 splash?? The black - green blobs with some line art boxes. I think it was the most ugly splash which has been made ever - counting every app on Win platform:beer:

I ve just tried to change the splash screen in max 5.1 but without succes:hmm: I replaced the splash.swf with splash.jpg but nothing except not showing keyboard shorts happen.

Does anybody know how to do it??

Howdy !

don't replace the swf by the jpg/bmp, just make sure you have a bmp named splash.bmp in your Max root, and if you want to have the same in your swf, open the splash.fla, import your bmp, export the new splash.swf to Max root and you're done.

Nice, but how did you acheive the "swirly" lines in the last one?
